Hi, welcome to Red Lips and Bibliomaniacs!
First of all, let me do a brief introduction of myself. I’m Nirmala; on the catastrophic path of approaching thirty in a few years. Originating from Pearl of the Indian Ocean (cutesy name for Sri Lanka), in another life I used to be an equity analyst, but now retired to become a full-time, devout homemaker in the charming city of Ann Arbor.
When I’m not busy homemaking (whatever it may entail!), you can find me in a corner curled up with a book. Like most of us mortals out there, I read for joy, and to kill time! I’m also a self diagnosed bibliomaniac!
So I plan on devoting this blog to primarily keep track of my reading escapades, yet with any luck I will also be writing stories of wanderlust – my mission is to become a globetrotter and right now I’m trying really hard to transmit the bug to my husband (who is the official photographer of the blog!). 😀
Thanks for dropping by and stay tuned for my new posts!
Hello. So nice to meet you. Perhaps firstly because I too am a financial industry person (although still in the rat race), secondly because I also love red lipstick (am I assuming too much?) and thirdly because I really enjoy reading. Thank you for visiting my blog as it gave me a chance to meet you.

It’s always nice to meet a financial industry person (even virtually!). And I do LOVE red lipstick! 😀 I really liked the way you had taken pics of your November TBR. Very artsy! 🙂 Looking forward to read your thoughts on them…

Thank you, if you ever come to the States , Boston is a better place to start even more than New York City . It’s a very European looking city. I’m going to be doing a lot more travel places here in the states , so keep following the blog . Thanks again .

Thanks. I have been living in Ann Arbor, MI since last year, but I’ve only been to Ohio yet. 🙂

You’re right in the home of University of Michigan , so you aren’t that far from Detroit really . I know Ann Arbor has lots of stuff, especially since college football season will be starting in about a week or so for “Big Blue”(that’s what the Michigan football teams are called affectionately . )

Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking my review of All the Light We Cannot See. From your Books Read page it seems like we have very different reading interests (mine are mostly non-fiction), so I really appreciate you taking the time. I might create my own Books Read page now – thanks for the inspiration!

On a side note, do you happen to know what camera is used for photography?

I love that you’re an avid reader. I’m sort of a ‘homemaker,’ if you can count a single mom, who keeps house, cares for a brood, works (from home), and writes.

Thanks! I have posted two Year in Review posts where I list some of my favourite reads. Out of my all-time favourite reads, I’d say The Royal Game by Stefan Zweig, The Razor’s Edge by W. Somerset Maugham, Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez, In love by Alfred Hayes, and Frenchman’s Creek by Daphne du Maurier are at the top. 😀

Hello from Australia. Don’t know how I ended up on this site, but the internet is a weird and wonderful place.
I also grew up in finance and love fiction and many of these authors. So odd to have that is common when I imagine our lives are quite different.
Anyway, I noticed you don,’t have Vonnegut on your list. I think based on these other authors, you would very much enjoy his work.
